Originally, the house was built in the 1960’s and purchased 2 years ago by its present owners. They purchased the home for the property and neighborhood, not the house. It underwent major renovations with additions built where feasible. A family room was added as well as a laundry/mudroom and 2-car garage. A new master bedroom/bathroom suite was built over the garage. A 2nd floor bedroom and 1st floor powder room and closets were removed to create a grand 2-story foyer and new staircases to the 2nd floor and finished lower level. The kitchen, living room, and dining room were relocated to improve the flow and a special space was created for the grand piano. Architecturally, the overall look was transformed into an elegant seaside home with a combination of clapboards and stone. The size of the home was increased from 1,920 sq. ft. to 4,527 sq. ft. of finished living area including a lower level recreation area and exercise room.
