The original non-descript bank building was perched on a hill and had no attributes to make it noticeable to vehicular traffic on this busy street. The addition of a drive-through teller facing the street enhanced the bank’s convenience and also it’s architectural visibility. The overall design solution was to integrate more traditional forms, materials, and details that are more in keeping with the bank’s image and its headquarters located in a nearby town. A new entry portico, replacement windows, and exterior finishes as well as the enhanced height of the building by the addition of a parapet wall make the bank more visible from the street and more distinctive.
